Review
The debut album from Agenda Of Swine is readily available to all. Waves Of Human Suffering may take a few listens for some people, such as myself, but once you get accustomed to the old school vocals and the mesh of music styles, you'll see that this release is just one relentless assault on today's society.

Yet another band on Relapse Records that just has that old school feel to them, Agenda Of Swine comes at you swinging. Much of the album is really fast, showing off a very well done mixture of grindcore with thrash. However, there is on slower moment to the album. While "Lost In Apathy" and "Amongst The Forgotten" will probably make you want to take a swing at somebody, songs like "Eradication Of The Seeds Of Impurity" and certain moments of "Devouring The Residual Bite" (which, aside those brief moments, is perhaps the hardest song on this release) will have you calm down a bit with the slower death metal meets thrash sound with low, almost unaudable speaking vocals against background screams. But aside that one track, it's a non-stop ride of fury, with some songs not even ending, but bleeding into the next track seemlessly.

Another rare element of the album to note would be that the track "Anatomy Of Social Issues: Problem + Contribution Vs. Solution" has a breakdown near the end of the track. This just feels odd since there isn't another one to be found on the whole CD. But, you'll quickly forget that it is even there as you continue through. Tracks like "Fragments Of Reason", with their thrash heavy guitar bridges, little the album and seriously make up for it's appearance. The only real complaint seems to stem from a production aspect. It's not clear if it's a fault in this specific copy or not, but there is a pause that lasts about two seconds are the end of the introduction track "Gethsemane" that ruins the transition between it and "Lost In Apathy" since it goes right into that track.

Waves Of Human Suffering is one hell of a ride from start to end. There really are no flaws to this album, aside the aforementioned technical glitch that may not be on present copies of the release. If you like your music heavy and about to punch you face, this release is for you. Some people may not take to the vocals, but they will grow on you after a few listens if that happens. Agenda Of Swine is definitely a band that we will all have to keep our eyes on.
