After the release of Live In: Nerd Rage, radio stations were greeted with a six track sampler that features five of the segments off the full-length album, as well as the bonus Metal track "Metal By Numbers", all edited and safe for radio airplay. The material chosen for this isn't quite the greatest off the album, but still pretty funny. Of course, the lack of obscenities does hurt the overall impact of the comedy because of how Brian Posehn presents his jokes, but it's more sudden out-of-nowhere moments of the jokes that are still funny.

"Dork for Thirty Years" has some random shock moments to it that will have you laughing against the already present comedic elements in it. That and "Puppy Time" are both funny but they aren't really the best off the full-length. "Religion's Weird" is really the only laugh out loud track you'll come across on here, as is "Quitting Pot" simply because of the discussion of the Chicken Monkey and some of the things he discovers about his family in it too, but these segments end too quick and clearly there is no segway between them. The real important aspect of this CD is the Metal song "Metal By Numbers" which is just a heavy musical assault with lyrics that are a very appropriate satyrical look at Metal today.

The EP is nice to have as a collector's piece because it's presented as if it's an actual EP you could buy at some chain store to promote the release of Live In: Nerd Rage. However, if you already have the full-length, or aren't a collector, then the Safe For Radio Edition is absolutely pointless to have and actually is not as funny as the uncensored full-length edition.
