Review
Disturbed has changed a lot since their debut, and it seems that with this album, Indestructible, they have come to what will hopefully be the final big shift in their music. This album is far from their debut, Down With The Sickness, but it shows a real maturity within the band, and is simply superior in comparison. This release does boast some of the lightest songs that Disturbed has composed, but that's not really a bad thing in this instance. Nearly every song on this release is catchy as hell with some great guitar riffs, and, in some cases, well written guitar solos. However, this does not apply to the track "Criminal", which is the heaviest of them all, and often has traces of their old style. The start of the album really does set the mood well, as you have "Indestructible" which has a feel of an anthem to it, "Inside The Fire" is simply catchy as hell with a great solo, and the tracks "The Night" and "Haunted" will have you singing along from start to end. While almost the entire album is great, there are a few songs that just seem to lack the strengths the others have. "Deceiver" is one of them, which just comes off as more of a filler track then anything, and, even though some people will enjoy the track "Torn", which does feature an impressive guitar solo, the vocals just seem as if the vocalist was bored while recording. So, all in all this is perhaps Disturbed's best recording yet. The music is much more refined then it ever has been, making for a great listen from start to finish, with the exception of two tracks.
