Kreator's release Coma Of Soul is perhaps one of their most well known albums. The material on here is definitely classic thrash, tenacious, and chock full of typical early 90's thrash lyrical content such as the economy, taking care of our planet, and anti-big business.

This album definitely boasts some of the best Kreator has to offer. "People Of The Lie", for one, as well as "Agent Of Brutality" and "Hidden Dictator" are all killer thrash anthems from back in the day. The music throughout the album ranges from really fast paced with insane guitar riffs, such as on "World Beyond", to slower, more melodic tracks like "People Of The Lie" and "Terror Zone".

There are some bland parts to this album though, such as the song "Terror Zone" which takes forever to actually kick in and, when it does, is just really slow and gets boring after a while. It does, however, speed up during the chorus, but not by much. There is the same kind of build up for "Agents Of Brutality" but when the music kicks in, it isn't filler, but a flesh ripping track any thrash fan will salivate over. The same can be said for the song "Hidden Dictator", except for the slow intro part. And let's not forget some of the killer solos on here, such as the one in the start of "Material Wor ld Paranoia".

As far as classic thrash goes, this baby is one of them. Boasting some great songs in the sound of that time for the style, Coma Of Souls should already be in your library. This isn't one of those catchy, guitar hook-based albums that some bands may have put out, but rather a fast paced assault on your ear drums.
