Review
When anyone mentions hardcore, one of the names that immediately pops up would be the band Madball. It's no surprise that this band's latest offering, Infiltrate The System, is on the tongues of pretty much every hardcore fan out there.

There really isn't much to be said about this release since it's a pretty solid recording. The typical lyrical themes of hardcore are obviously in here, but the main aspect is how well everything is put together. Musically, the album is great and sounds absolutely ferocious for a hardcore release, the drumming is pretty sweet, and vocals are commanding. "Revolt" and "No Escape" are easily the best songs on the release, having some rather complex riffs and plenty of built up where necessary.

One other thing the album offers more of is some rather melodic riffs that many hardcore bands do not include. "No Escape" has a chorus that is somewhat melodic and extremely catchy for a "fuck you" type of song. But, some of the songs on here, with or without that melody, will get old after a few listens. "We The People" isn't all that great a song to begin with, and "Renegades", as well as "Set Me Free", will probably bore you after a few listens since there's nothing really offered on it outside your typical hardcore sound.

Many of the songs on Infiltrate The System can be considered anthems, such as "No Escape", "Renegades" and "Liberty Or Death". If you happen to live in the New York area, then "Stand Up N.Y." would clearly fall in as an athem for you as well. Aside the few typical-sounding songs on this release, Madball have put out another stunning release that sounds much more tenacious then their last release. If you enjoy good hardcore, or (for the sake of comparison) if you enjoy the band Pro-Pain, then this is a CD you must check out.
