This is a three song sampler from The Red Chord's second full length release, Clients. This sampler was a radio exclusive prior to the release of the full length in order to get people excited for the album, so you would assume it has some killer tracks on it, right? Well, it does, but at the same time, it doesn't. It's a little hard to explain.

The music on these three songs are pretty damn good actually, it's very technical and really heavy, especially the first track "Fixation On Plastics". The vocals on here are what you would expect on a grindcore release and fit the music perfectly. But while the first track seems to be rather complex, the rest of the songs on here a little lighter and much less complex. "Lay The Trap" is a pretty solid song for the most part, but parts of the song just seem to clash with the flow of the song and the music is constantly changing, and "Antman" starts off boring, and sounds more like a kind of song that a hardcore band that thinks the sudden loud guitar whines, whatever they may be called, are the coolest thing in the world. You will also hear a lot of Napalm Death in the music on this sampler, causing much of these songs to just sound like they worship that band, and throw in some stereotypical drum blasts and riffs.

If this is what we are to expect with the full length Clients album, it's not going to be anything to go nuts over. The Clients Sampler showcases a lot of idolworshipping sounds, as well as some mediocrity that just overrules some of the shining points the songs have.
