Hardcore Self-release, Blasphemour Records (2015) December 28th, 2014 / February 3rd, 2015 Release length: 5:53 |

Fracture/Conscious carries a raw trait that capitalizes on the darker nature of their performances, reminiscent of bands like Disembodied and Integrity. While a ly Hardcore release, there are some Doom Metal tendencies found in the fairly simple riffs and drum beat that seems to march closer to your doom, accentuated by the dismal breakdown towards the end. That creeping conclusion carries over to “Conscious”. The steady pacing behind the increasing speed is executed quite well, adding some eccentric notes at the height of the song’s technicality, all the end with another slow paced trudge full of melancholic hooks.
Fracture/Conscious stands as an interesting two song outing that, while still raw and intimidating in digital format, is ripe for the analog cassette format from the very get go, casting a shadow of hopelessness over the listener from the very moments the chords greet you, or the primal and deep shouting spit in your face. This isn’t a recording meant for everyone, and the slower material can take a bit to work its magic on you, but when it does you’ll find this debut outing hard to put down, leaving you waiting for more. If you haven’t picked this one up yet, check out their Bandcamp page to see what you’re missing, but be sure to give the cassette version a go for optimal impact.
