Antigama: Meteor

The impact of Meteor, the pulverizing sixth full-length from revolutionary Polish grindcore mercenaries ANTIGAMA, is becoming more apparent, as the album has hit the streets worldwide via Selfmadegod Records.

Brutally discharging just-under a half hour of their prime, forward thinking and calculated concoction of blast-strewn devastation, Meteor once again proves why ANTIGAMA remains one of the most cutting-edge bands of the grindcore genre. Recorded at Progresja Studio in Warsaw with producer Pawel “Janos” Grabowski (Masachist, Lost Soul) and mastered by Scott Hull (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer), the album also features a guest appearance by Michal Lapaj from world renowned Polish progressive rock band Riverside. Over the course of its eleven tracks, in some ways Meteor reverts back to the band’s more primal early material yet continues to carry ANTIGAMA’s explosively inventive edge, integrating brief progressive soundtrack ventures, programmed noise and abstract elements of auditory chaos.
