I was given a chance to shoot some questions over to Cavus for an interview to compliment my review of their new album, Fester and Putrefy. Not too long after, band member W got the answers back.
I missed out on the chance to catch Hatesphere‘s full set thanks to a horrible storm doubling my travel time. I did, however, make it with plenty of time to interview founding member Pete Lyse Hansen. It was as if I sat down with an old friend I hadn’t seen in years, leading to a fun and memorable interview experience for me as I grilled him on the state of the band, about their latest album To the Nines, and even try out as the band’s vocalist (and startle one of the members of Obscura that you hear preparing to hit the stage shortly after).
With The Clans Will Rise Again due otu shortly, I reached out to Napalm Records to see if a phone interview would be possible. Sure enough, I was given the opportunity to speak with Axel “Ironfingers” Ritt. It was a great interview, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did actually going through with it.
Darkest Hour just hit the nearest venue to my location at this point: The Crocodile Rock in Allentown, Pennsylvania. After mass chaos and confusion occured, the band’s tour manager pulled through and made the interview happen before they went on stage. It wound up being absolutey worth the frustrations.
