Chicago just upped the fierce with the formation of thrash newcomers READY FOR DEATH. Veterans of metal, the band is comprised of ex members of PELICAN, current members of RACETRAITOR, INDECISION, and more. The band have penned a deal with Translation Loss Records, and will be releasing the bands debut full-length in fall of 2022.

Distilling thrash metal down to a concentrate and flavoring it with bits of hardcore, death metal, punk, and noise, READY FOR DEATH delivers ferocious riffage with deranged sci-fi/dystopian fervor.

Today, the band have unleashed the first listen with a high-energy and hair-whipping new single titled, “Cyborg Priest”. Bassist Luca Cimarusti shares:

“This track introduces the character of the Cyborg Priest, the deranged, cosmic cult leader who is one of the main players in the lyrics of our debut record’s sci-fi-horror rock-opera. He’s collecting followers, and he’s destroying everything in sight. I was the last member to join READY FOR DEATH, and when I was asked to join, the band sent me a handful of stripped down demos they had recorded with a programmed drum track. When I heard the song, I knew I would be a fool not to join.
